Our Mission and Impact
The Ball Chatham Food Pantry (BCFP) strives to engage and unite the community in the fight against hunger affecting local citizens. It is a nonprofit charitable 502(c)(3) tax-exempt organization that provides food assistance to community members in the Ball Chatham School District who struggle with this need.
The BCFP is located inside the Chatham Presbyterian Church at 1835 E Walnut n Chatham, IL. The BCFP is a church-sponsored and supported organization comprised of seven local churches: Chatham Christian Church, Sugar Creek United Methodist Church, Chatham Presbyterian Church, Chatham Baptist Church, United Methodist Church, St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Church, and St. John’s Lutheran Church.
The BCFP provides food assistance to residents in need within the boundaries of the Ball Chatham School District. We provide up to four food orders per calendar year. Each food order is comprised of dry goods that are stocked at the food pantry, as well as a Meijer food-only gift card that residents can use to purchase perishable food items and other food items as needed.
